Passed quietly and unexpectedly on November 20, 2022.
Uncle Pete was born in Philadelphia, PA and was originally of Philadelphia, PA. He was living in Voorhees at the time of his death. Pete was born on October 19, 1950. He was an avid Philly sports fan, especially the Phillies. He was also supporter the Eagles and always the Flyers.
He was pre-deceased by both parents, Peter Sr. and Dorothy (nee Gawronski), his half-brother, John (Jack) Gaffney, Sr. and nephew, John (Jack) Gaffney, Jr.
Peter is survived by the Gaffney family, sister-in-law Pat Gaffney- DiMascio, 5 nieces and a large extended family of grand nieces and nephews as well as great-grand, nieces and nephews. Peter will be missed by the New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities family especially his foster family with Marcia McRae when she became his Foster Mother and Friend when Peter transitioned into an Assisted Community.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Pete's Catholic Prayer Service and Inurnment on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Peter Cemetery: Belgrade at Tioga Streets, Philadelphia, PA. Directions for GPS: 2550 Tioga Street, Philadelphia, PA.
