On November 24, 2016. Age 83. Of Gloucester City. Loving husband of 60 years to Margaret A. Saunders (nee Pine). Loving father of Ralph J. Saunders III, the late David Saunders, Maureen A. Moran (Son-in-law Denis) and Raymond E. Saunders. Beloved brother of Mary Ann Saunders. Cherished grandfather of Ralph J. Saunders IV, Rachel Saunders, Sean Saunders, David Saunders, the late Matthew Moran, Abby Moran, Emily Moran, Joseph Saunders and Raeann Saunders and great-grandfather of 4. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ralph was a graduate of Gloucester Catholic class of 1950. He went on to study at Temple and Rutgers University. Ralph proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He retired after 28 years as the Facilities Director for Gloucester City Board of Education.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Tuesday morning, November 29th, from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City, NJ 08030. Mass of Christian Burial 12 Noon in the church. Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
