Renee Carbin (nee Berry), age 67, of Westville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 16, 2026, at Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees, NJ.
Born in Camden, NJ to the late Raymond P. Berry, Sr. and Annamae Berry (nee Calhoun), Renee was a graduate of Gloucester City High School. Known for her warm personality and bright spirit, she was a true social butterfly who loved connecting with people. For many years, she brought smiles to her community working as a deli clerk for Acme in Audubon, NJ, and was a proud member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 152. Above all else, Renee was an avid animal lover with a deeply compassionate heart.
Renee was one of the kindest and most compassionate people you could ever meet, always willing to help anyone in need. She had a deep love for music and could often be found dancing with joy. Renee embraced life with enthusiasm, enjoying celebrations and creating lasting memories with family and friends. She especially cherished traveling with her sisters and her late cousin, Ronnie, to the Chesapeake in Maryland, where they shared many treasured moments together.
She is survived by her devoted children, Thomas Anthony Carbin, II (Stephanie Pierson) and Christina Renee Carbin. She was the cherished grandmother of Thomas A. Carbin, III and Jayson Sommerkamp. She is also survived by her dear siblings, Christine Brennan (the late Gary), Barbara Emmons (the late Brian) and Raymond P. Berry, Jr. (Terry), as well as her beloved nephew, Michael Helms, and many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Renee was the beloved wife of the late Thomas A. Carbin, Sr., and the loving life partner of the late Michael Glen Ericsson. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Raymond P. Berry, Sr. and Annamae Berry (nee Calhoun).
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Wednesday evening, July 22, 2026, from 6:30 PM to 8 PM at McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 851 Monmouth St.,Gloucester City. Family and friends will share their stories of Renee starting at 8 PM in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Renee’s memory to Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center online at www.homewardboundnj.org honoring her lifelong love for animals.
