On January 11, 2024, Age 65 Of Sicklerville, In the loving and devoted care of his family. Devoted husband of 31 years to the love of his life, Veronica "Ronnie" M. (nee Gorman) Battersby. Proud and beloved father of Adam (Cailyn Radke) and Michael Battersby. Predeceased by his parents, Robert J. Battersby and Joan (James) Gaffney (nee Ackley). Loving brother of Kevin Gaffney and Sean (Irene) Gaffney. Cherished step-son of Brenda Battersby. Dear brother-in-law of Joe (Colleen) Gorman, Mary (Mike) Murphy, Theresa Gorman, Bernadette Gorman, Chuck (Barb) Gorman, Gina (Jim) Finley and Ann Gorman. Predeceased by his sister-in-law Rose M. Gorman. Survived by many nieces and nephews.

Bob also leaves behind many pets; Tedy, Cora, Lukas, Sugar, Mr. Dottie, Blitz and Millie were loved and part of the family. Bob was born in Camden and was a graduate of Paul VI High School in Haddon Township. He graduated from Camden County College with a Bachelor's Degree. Bob worked as a field worker for Camden County Mosquito Commission. He enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles on TV and would always share his opinion good or bad how they were playing! Above all else, Bob's love of his family was most important.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Bob's visitation on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 9:15 am to 10:45 at Saint Mary's R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City, NJ 08030. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am in the church. At Bob's request, cremation was private and Interment will be at a later date.
