On July 23, 2015. Age 76. Of Westville. Born in Camden, NJ, he was the son of the late Frederick R. and Sadie U. (nee Freeman) Lambert. Robert is survived by his wife, Diane Lambert (nee Gardner); sister, Dorothy Sabot; sister-in law, Norma Lambert; nieces, Donna Emma, Sandra Ryan, Linda Jalio; nephews, Frederick Lambert and Francis Sabot. He was predeceased by his son, Robert W. Lambert, Jr. in 2005 and his brother, Frederick Lambert in 2007. Robert retired from the Philadelphia Inquirer in 2006 after more than 20 years working as a machinist. He had worked for the Philadelphia Bulletin until it closed in 1982. Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Services and Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing.
