Loving wife of 32 years to John J. O'Brien. Loving mother of  Gordon Craig (Diane), Scott Craig (Marcie), Jeffrey Craig (late Dianne) Deborah Price (Christopher), Patricia Jenkins (Howard), Penny Aroneck (Charlie), Leslie Hagan (Jack) and Jacquelyn Palmieri (John). Cherished stepmother of Mary Acciani, John O'Brien, Robert O'Brien and Roseann VanKeuren. Cherished grandmother of 32 and great grandmother of 13. Dear sister of William Underwood, Michael Underwood, Thomas Underwood , Betsy Gartland and the late Christopher Underwood, Joan Tessing, Mary Ludlum and Florence Landolphi.

Ruth was a graduate of Gloucester Catholic class of 1950 and attended Camden County College. She started her career at Girl Scouts of America and worked as a principal at Camden County Board of Social Services in Camden from 1984-1994.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday morning, August 29, from 10 AM to 12 Noon at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Catholic funeral service 12 Noon in the funeral home. Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
