November 23, 1926 – September 21, 2019
On September 21, 2019. Age 92. Of Gloucester City. Beloved husband of the late Roseann Kilcourse (nee Herbert). Devoted uncle of Marie (Bill) Johnson. Loving great-uncle of Bill (Lisa) Johnson and Eric Johnson. Cherished great-great uncle of Connor, Kyle, Bailey and Nathaniel.
Tut was born, raised and lived all 92 years in Gloucester City. He was a graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School Class of 1944. Tut proudly served our country in the U.S. Army from 1945-1946. He started to serve in Democratic Politics in 1964 and was a Gloucester City Councilman, City Clerk for Gloucester City and Mayor of Gloucester City. He was a longtime and devoted member of the Gloucester City Lions Club. Tut was involved with the Gloucester City Celebrations Committee and coached in the Gloucester City Basketball League. He was a devoted parishioner of Saint Mary's R.C. Church in Gloucester City. Tut loved his family, God and serving the residents of Gloucester City.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Tut's viewing on Friday, September 27, 2019 from 9:45 to 11:45 AM at Saint Mary's R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial 12 Noon in Church. Interment with U.S. Army Military Honors in New Saint Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
