Swedesboro, NJ – Viola Beulah Kennedy, age 69, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025. Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was the beloved daughter of the late Frank and Fairy Bell (Williams) Kennedy.

Viola is survived by her devoted sister, Diane Kennedy, and her Pancoast family at Bancroft, whose lives she touched with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering joy. Her presence was a blessing to many, especially her cherished friends and extended family at Bancroft, where she will be deeply missed.

Viola was a woman of deep faith who found joy in serving Christ, singing her favorite hymns especially Blessed Assurance and lifting the spirits of those around her. With a heart full of compassion and a contagious sense of humor, she brought light and laughter to everyone she met. She loved giving everyone a nickname, making each person feel special in her own unique way.

Some of her favorite pastimes included long phone conversations with her sister, their monthly dinner dates, playing board games, watching her favorite TV shows, singing and dancing. She was an avid shopper who loved getting her hair and nails done, especially with her signature red hair dye. Viola delighted in sharing her "winning numbers" for the lottery, always asking her favorite phrase: "Did you win?"

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Viola's life on Wednesday, September 3rd at 11:00 AM at McCann-Healey Funeral Home, 851 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City, NJ. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Waterford Memorial Park Cemetery, 679 Pestleton Road, Waterford, NJ.
