Obituary

On March 27, 2013. Age 93. Of Collingswood. Formerly of Westville. Survived by his brother Paul Miller. Walter proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Walter Miller was instrumental in forming the Charismatic Renewal for the Camden Roman Catholic Diocese with the help of the late Auxiliary Bishop James L. Schad, the late Msgr. James P. McIntyre and the late Deacon Frank Iula and wife, Rose. From its beginning 40 years ago, Walter has been a strong leader in spreading the Charismatic Renewal throughout the Camden Diocese. He totally dedicated his life to the Holy Spirit and influenced countless others to do the same. Walter Miller was a conference chairman for the Charismatic Renewal up until his death. He was also involved with many charismatic prayer groups throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Relatives, friends and all involved with Charismatic Renewal are invited to attend his viewing on Friday April 12th from 6 to 8 PM and Saturday, April 13 from 9 am to 9:30 am (Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet) at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday April 13th, 10:30 AM at Most Precious Blood Parish: Transfiguration R.C.Church: 445 White Horse Pike, Collingswood. Interment with U.S. Army Military Honors in Camden County Veterans Cemetery at Harleigh, Camden.
