Surrounded by his loving family, Walter passed peacefully on April 24, 2021, at the age of 94. Longtime resident of Gloucester City. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Todd. Loving father of Ginny Toal (Ned) and Peggy Grubbs (Chuck). Cherished grandfather of Kelly Jerrom (Peter), Jaime Fine (Zach), David Grubbs, Drew Toal (Stacy) and Adam Toal (Leila) and great-grandfather of Sophie, Sydney, Mae, Ellery, Charlie, Reece and Luke. Beloved brother of Lyn Hyson and the late Virginia Hammer. Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Walter was a graduate of Gloucester City High School and proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from Exxon Mobil in Paulsboro, NJ.

At his request, services will be private in New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
