On January 5, 2022. Age 64. Of the Turnersville section of Washington Township and formerly of Pennsauken. Cherished and Loving husband of 45 years to Virginia A. "Ginny" Mayer (nee Joseph). Devoted father of William J. Mayer, Jr., (Jennifer L.), Jennifer M. Mayer and Malinda A. Williamson (Matthew B.) Beloved grandfather of Kirsten M. Randolph, William J. Mayer, III, Kaitlyn A. Randolph, Addison G. Mayer, Joshua D. Williamson, Sophie A. Williamson and Makenna L. Mayer. Devoted son of Mary Ellen Mayer (nee Parker) and the late Harry J. Mayer, Jr. Dear brother of Joan Mayer, Patricia Pizzutillo, James Mayer, Anne Becker, Kathleen Albino, Marie Mayer, John Mayer, Harry Mayer, Mary Ellen Cuneo, Jacqueline Puleo and many loving in-laws.
Bill was born in Camden City and raised in Pennsauken. He was a proud graduate of Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Bill worked as a Professional Electrical Engineer for Onboard Engineering in New Castle, Delaware. He absolutely cherished his grandchildren and vacationing in Disney World with his family. Bill took great pride in restoring a '55 Chevy that was passed down from his grandfather. Bill was always full of life; always with a smile on his face; anything with him was an adventure. He instantly made you laugh and touched the lives of all who met him. Bill was an all around "Good Guy."
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 11 am to 12 noon at Saints Peter and Paul R.C. Church: 362 Ganttown Road, Turnersville, NJ 08012. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:15 pm in the church. Interment private. Family requests Social Distancing for the visitation and seating at Mass. Also, Face Masks must be worn in church.
