"Tony" Colucci
July 26, 1941 – November 1, 2021
Woodstock, Ontario, Canada – Formerly of Maple Shade and Bellmawr. Passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at his home on Monday, November 1st, 2021, at the age of 80. Much loved and cherished husband of Diane Colucci of Woodstock, Ontario. Stepfather of Shawn MacDonald from Calgary, Alberta and step-grandfather of Jeremie, (Calgary), Naomi (Texas), and Kaitlyn (Hawaii). Tony also had a special bonded relationship with Justin and Kelly Byers of Woodstock and their children Mason and Audrey who considered Tony their 3rd grandpa. Tony leaves behind his brothers George (Madeline) Colucci, Anthony (Jenna) Colucci, Charlie Colucci as well as sisters Sandy (Mark), Charlene (Ron) and Patricia (Nick) all from New Jersey. Tony is survived by many nieces and nephews in the US, in-laws and great friends in Canada who all dearly loved him. Tony is predeceased by his brother Bobby, sister Laura, infant sister Barbara Jean and parents Anthony and Laura Colucci. William was born and raised in Camden City and got his nickname "Tony" after moving to Canada and was proud to be called a dual citizen after becoming a Canadian in 2014. He started with the Camden City Fire Department in 1969 and retired in 1996. Tony continued his work in fire service with the Camden County Fire Marshall. He was a former member of the Camden County Emerald Society. Tony was also a police officer for 5 years with the Maple Shade Police Department and a former member of PBA Local No. 267.
He was a huge sports fan and could always be heard cheering on his favorite hockey and footballs teams. He loved attending and watching the games with the Philadelphia Flyers and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Relatives, friends, retired and active Camden City Fireman and Department are kindly invited to attend Tony's viewing on Monday, November 15 from 6 pm to 8 pm and Tuesday, November 16 from 10:30 am to 11:45 am at the McCann-Healey Funeral Home: 851 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:30 pm at Saint Mary's R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
The family will be having a celebration of Tony's life here in Canada at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Mary's R.C. Church: 420 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City, NJ 08030. Please write in memo: Food Program – William H.
