April 23, 1944 – March 8, 2018
Surrounded by his family, on March 8, 2018, at the age of 73. Of Gloucester City. Loving and devoted husband of 54 years to Diane L. White (nee Chessman). Loving father of Tamara White Diodati and her husband, Anthony of Mullica Hill. Cherished Pop-Pop of Kaila, Krista and Kasey Diodati. Also survived by his nephews, Jason Chessman and John A. Chessman, II; and his Godson, Joseph Chessman. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Walter R. White and Doris Dole Reichert.
Bill was a graduate of Williamstown High School class of 1961. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam and was stationed in Hawaii and California. He was a 40 year member of Local Union #399 in Westville and a foreman for Bechtel Steel. Bill was a longtime member of Trinity Methodist Church in Mullica Hill and former member of Gloucester City Town Watch. His greatest enjoyment came when watching his grandchildren's events and sports and traveling with his wife, Diane.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday, March 14th, from 10 to 11:30 AM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Funeral service 11:30 AM in the funeral home. Interment with U.S.M.C. Honors in Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro.
